The UK Centre for Events Management is a world leading provider of events education, consultancy and research. Our specialist team draws together academics and events professionals who have designed and developed cutting-edge courses that are informed by industry and research.

The Centre and staff are members of many key professional associations in the events related fields and are engaged in research and consultancy work, publishing their findings in textbooks and journals of international standing.

You will also be given the opportunity to attend guest lectures and encouraged, where possible, to take up a range of volunteer opportunities to provide you with additional experience and strong industry contacts. Students in the past have volunteered at the IIFA awards, the Grand National and more locally the Bradford Film Festival.

UKCEM is recognised as a Centre of Excellence for Events Management by the National Skills Academy for Sport and Active Leisure . Our courses are accredited by the Institute of Hospitality and are recognised by the National Outdoor Events Associated, the British Hospitality Association and by EuroCHRIE.

  • David has been involved in tourism education in the UK since 1985 and entered higher education following a career working for specialist tour operators in SE Asia, USA and Europe. He is currently Head of one of the largest schools of its kind in Europe - 1800 students and 60 full time academic staff - home to the UK Centre for Events Management and the first School in the UK to be recognised as a Centre of Excellence by the Institute of Travel & Tourism.

Studying part-time gives you the flexibility to learn at your own pace. Because of this, our tuition fees are calculated using credit points. Each module you study has a credit point value. Most taught postgraduate modules have a credit point value of 20.The tuition fee for students entering in in 2015/16 on this course is £500 for each 20 credit point module.For modules with a different credit point value their cost can be calculated by multiplying the credit value of the module by the cost per credit point of £25. The amount you will pay may increase each year in line with inflation.
