MODULES & LEARNING

Explore a group project approach that centres on solving problems of a compound and complex nature.

A construction project in a team environment that requires you to analyse working designs, construction and managerial problems and to develop logical, workable, cost-effective solutions.

Carry out a sustained piece of research that examines current issues related to the built environment, and write this up in the form of a clearly argued and structured dissertation.

Develop your skills in BIM methodologies, utilising industry recognised standards and competences.

Study the preparation of financial information and develop the ability to use such information to manage effectively.

This module is designed to recognise and assess your learning in the workplace. You will collate and reflect on evidence of your competency in selected areas of performance.

Our teaching team delivers courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and their expertise in project management, and the specialist teaching delivered by the construction group, will enhance your learning experience.

You will be equipped with hands-on skills that are highly valued in an industry in which a project approach is the principal way of working. You will also gain up-to-date industry knowledge and contacts through visiting lecturers.

Most undergraduate modules have a credit point value of 20.The tuition fee for students entering in in 2015/16 on this course is £1500 for each 20 credit point module.For modules with a different credit point value their cost can be calculated by multiplying the credit value of the module by the cost per credit point of £75. The amount you will pay may increase each year in line with inflation.

Our grade 2 listed buildings are located opposite the new Leeds Arena and overlooking Queen Square. Located close to Millennium Square this is a quiet leafy location, just a ten minute walk from the main train station. The square is also home to the Wellness Centre; our Osteopathy teaching clinic.
