112 points required
UCAS Tariff Points: 112 points required. (Minimum 72 from 2 A Levels or equivalent, excluding General Studies).

Additional Requirements:
GCSEs:
GCSE English Language and Maths at Grade C or above (Grade 4 for those sitting their GCSE from 2017 onwards) or equivalent. Key Skills Level 2, Functional Skills Level 2 and the Certificate in Adult Literacy/Numeracy are accepted in place of GCSEs.
Access to HE Diploma:
Pass overall with a minimum of 112 UCAS tariff points.
Scottish Awards:
Minimum of 5 subjects at Grade B at Higher Level.
Irish Leaving Certificate:
Minimum of 5 subjects at Grade C1 or above at Higher Level of which at least 3 must be at B2.
Selection Criteria:
We may use selection criteria based on your personal attributes; experience and/or commitment to the area of study. This information will be derived from your personal statement and reference and will only be used if you have met the general entry requirements.
International Baccalaureate: 25 Points
IELTS:
IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 5.5, or an equivalent qualification. The University provides excellent support for any applicant who may be required to undertake additional English language courses.
Mature Applicants
Our University welcomes applications from mature applicants who demonstrate academic potential. We usually require some evidence of recent academic study, for example completion of an access course, however recent relevant work experience may also be considered. Please note that for some of our professional courses all applicants will need to meet the specified entry criteria and in these cases work experience cannot be considered in lieu.

Our teaching team is made up of experienced business and legal professionals who have successful working relationships with many key employers in Leeds, such as Eversheds, DAC Beachcroft and Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC.

Our guest lecture programme will give you the chance to hear from key speakers to enhance your knowledge and inspire your learning. High-profile speakers have included ministers, judges and the CEO of the London Stock Exchange.

You will be encouraged to undertake a work placement, and with our strong links to industry, you'll be able to gain access to a number of major employers within Leeds, the region's centre for legal and financial services.

Leeds Law School also has a dedicated new building at the heart of our City Campus, with its own bespoke courtroom, giving you the opportunity to witness mock trials and mooting competitions.

    I am passionate about opening up opportunities for our students. I want to make sure every student gets what they signed up for but, further to that, that they expand their knowledge and leave us with the skills and expertise they need to succeed in whatever they choose to pursue.

    Dr Nehal Mahtab has more than 20 years' of experience in teaching business, having taught at the Leeds Business School, Duquesne University, USA and the University of Dhaka. He is a Senior Fellow of the HEA. He is also a Fulbright Scholar and did his Masters from USA. Subsequently did his PhD in the area of Strategic Decision Making in the Financial Sector from UK. His teaching and research expertise includes in the areas of Business Strategy, Performance & Reward management and Strategic HRM. Prior to joining the academia he worked at the Standard Chartered Bank in Bangladesh.

An amazing place to spend your days

It is not every university that can offer you the chance to study in the best tall building in the world. But we can. Our City Campus is home to such award-winning learning environments as Broadcasting Place, voted best tall building in the world in 2010. Other buildings include the Rose Bowl, home to our Business School, which was awarded Best Commercial Property Development in the 2009 Yorkshire Property awards. Just over the road from the Rose Bowl is the Leslie Silver building which houses one of our impressive libraries across five floors. The library is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year.
