Executive Master of Business Administration

Overview

Build on your existing business experience and develop an in-demand skillset for a position in senior management or a directorship. You will focus on real-world business practice and on developing your general management knowledge and expertise in-depth.

You will learn using case studies, drawing on your experience in business to explore and understand scenarios before identifying possible solutions. Your exploration of business issues will enable you to become confident in your ability to analyse data and situations to make complex decisions.

Guided by experienced tutors, this course will enable you to understand the corporate governance and legal expectations and responsibilities placed on you as a business leader. Your modules will ensure you build awareness and knowledge of the specific areas you will need to oversee and manage when running or leading a business.

MBA qualifications are recognised globally, and this course will equip you with a transferable skillset in high demand across industries. Your expert leadership knowledge will prepare you to meet the varied demands placed on senior managers. Completing the MBA consultancy project will enable you to put your knowledge into practice as you explore real-life business issues, such as how to meet sustainability and accountability targets. You will be confident in your ability to continue developing and refreshing your skillset throughout your career, and on completion of this course you will be able to apply to the Chartered Management Institute for the Level 7 in Strategic Management and Leadership.

Your learning community will include fellow MBA candidates with diverse talents, experiences and ideas, as well as research-active academic staff with significant and varied industry experience that will shape your learning.

We understand that full-time study does not suit everyone. That’s why we offer courses which give you the opportunity to decide where, when and how you can get involved in learning. Studying a distance learning course offers the convenience and flexibility to make education work for you. Whether you’d like to fit your studies around childcare, develop your skills while working or, quite simply, want to learn from the comfort of your own home, we can help you gain a qualification at a time and pace that suits your lifestyle.

Like our students on campus, you will have the same excellent teaching and learning resources, however you’ll find these online instead of in a lecture theatre. Not only are all the modules taught online, but you will also have access to an online community and more than 140,000 books and journals in our online library.

To study this course, you will require broadband internet connection with a speed of 2mbps and working speakers. You will need Windows 7 / Mac OSX 10.8 or above and have access to Chrome v63 or higher (recommended), Edge v42+, Firefox v57+ or Safari v6+. Java and Adobe Acrobat Reader will need to be enabled and you will need a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768.

Complete technical requirements are detailed in the full guide here.
