Entry Requirements
112 points required
UCAS Tariff Points: 112 points required. (Minimum 72 from two A Levels or equivalent, excluding General Studies).

Additional Requirements:
GCSEs:
GCSE English Language and Maths at Grade C or above (Grade 4 for those sitting their GCSE from 2017 onwards) or equivalent. Key Skills Level 2, Functional Skills Level 2 and the Certificate in Adult Literacy/Numeracy are accepted in place of GCSEs.
Access to HE Diploma:
Pass overall with a minimum of 112 UCAS tariff points.
Scottish Awards:
Minimum of 5 subjects at Grade B at Higher Level.
Irish Leaving Certificate:
Minimum of 5 subjects at Grade C1 or above at Higher Level of which at least 3 must be at B2.
Level 6 Entry:
Applicants should have a HND, Foundation degree or equivalent award in the cognate subjects of Business.
Selection Criteria:
We may use selection criteria based on your personal attributes; experience and/or commitment to the area of study. This information will be derived from your personal statement and reference and will only be used if you have met the general entry requirements.
International Baccalaureate: 25 Points
IELTS:
IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 5.5, or an equivalent qualification. The University provides excellent support for any applicant who may be required to undertake additional English language courses.
Mature Applicants
Our University welcomes applications from mature applicants who demonstrate academic potential. We usually require some evidence of recent academic study, for example completion of an access course, however recent relevant work experience may also be considered. Please note that for some of our professional courses all applicants will need to meet the specified entry criteria and in these cases work experience cannot be considered in lieu.

You are strongly encouraged to take a paid work placement in the third year of your course to develop and enhance your transferable employability skills. Previous students on this course have secured placements with top companies including BP, Panasonic, GE Capital and Bentley Motors. We have a dedicated employability and placements office to support you and provide you with access to a wide range of vacancies from local, national and international employers. Pre-placement guidance and seminars are available on topics such as CV and letter writing, how to succeed at interview, assessment centres and psychometric tests.

Our Study Abroad programme is a popular option for many students and you can visit partner institutions in countries such as the USA, Australia, France and Norway. Our students often enter competitions such as the IBM Universities Business Challenge, the UK's premier business simulation in which we compete against teams from other universities. You may also apply for student membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD). You will be taught at the Rose Bowl, our award winning home in the heart of the Leeds business district.

At Leeds Business School we're dedicated to supporting your professional development - that's why we offer a guest lecture programme. Past speakers include the CEO of the London Stock Exchange, Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury, past Chair and President of the Academy of Marketing, Chief Executive of the British Bankers Association, the Chief Economist of Yorkshire Bank and the Editor of Cosmopolitan.

    We have over 40 years’ partnership with the CIPD in successfully delivering human resource management programmes. This programme offers us the opportunity to take full advantage of our expertise in a specialist course designed for tomorrow’s learning and development professionals.

    Christine has taught on programmes accredited by the CIPD for several years, is module leader for Leading, Managing & Developing People and personal tutor on the PG Dip HRM. She has a wealth of industry experience, specifically in workforce development training in the public and private sectors. Christine’s research interests include andragogy (teaching adult learners) and she is particularly interested in supporting students who join the programme without traditional academic qualifications.

    You will use Critical Decision Immersive Simulations in this facility to develop effective leadership and group participant skills. The simulations replicate the complexities of real life scenarios that would challenge decision makers, aiming to improve your decision making, critical thinking and communication skills.

An amazing place to spend your days

It is not every university that can offer you the chance to study in the best tall building in the world. But we can. Our City Campus is home to such award-winning learning environments as Broadcasting Place, voted best tall building in the world in 2010. Other buildings include the Rose Bowl, home to our Business School, which was awarded Best Commercial Property Development in the 2009 Yorkshire Property awards. Just over the road from the Rose Bowl is the Leslie Silver building which houses one of our impressive libraries across five floors. The library is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year.
