You will gain a thorough understanding of the multidisciplinary aspects of sport and exercise nutrition and will be able to apply for graduate registration with the SENr.
We will provide opportunities for the development of professional skills applicable to performance sport, physical activity, exercise and health, including nutrition workshops and work-based placements. If you would like to gain additional practical experience alongside your academic study, there will be the opportunity to apply for an internship in an applied sport science setting, working with elite athletes under the guidance of a registered SENr practitioner.

Modules are assessed through a mix of coursework assignments, case studies, examinations, laboratory reports and presentations appropriate to the programme. Each module is assessed through the equivalent of 4,000 words.

MSc Sport & Exercise Nutrition
I loved studying nutrition on my first degree, so continuing onto my masters was the perfect option for me. I was able to work with athletes and clubs around the UK - applying what I was learning into practice. I now use my skills to help athletes meet their nutritional needs and achieve their peak potential.
Modules & learning
You will develop a critical understanding of the metabolic and endocrine responses to different types of exercise, their time course and scope for training and detraining adaptations. It will also facilitate the development of laboratory data collection skills.
You will develop knowledge, understanding and critical awareness of measurement and evaluation tools and techniques in sport and exercise nutrition.
This module will introduce you to the general principles, concepts and theory in nutrition and nutritional biochemistry necessary for the development of performance nutrition strategies. You will also develop the ability to understand and apply current sports nutrition theory and practice and justify their selection.

Tens of thousands of our Library's digital resources, including ebooks, ejournals and databases, can be accessed online at a time and place to suit you.
